as a companion database to Biology
Digest, contains
comprehensive abstracts from over 150 journals in the
physical sciences. Available only online, Physical
Sciences Digest provides
easy access to new scientific developments at a comprehension
level appropriate for students, teachers, and scientists.
Each issue (monthly, nine times per year) adds 225 digests
to the database. The digests are individual summaries
of articles and research reports gathered from worldwide
sources in the sciences ranging from such titles as Discover,
Scientific American, Astronomy, and Geotimes to
the academic journals Science, Nature, Physics World,
Environmental Science and Technology, and Geophysical
Research Letters. Important information is retained
in the abstracts to give a precise, inclusive summary
of the original material.
